Rely+On™ Virkon™ broad spectrum disinfectant is ideal for the cleaning and disinfecting of hard non-porous surfaces.

It is not only proven effective against common disease-causing pathogens that affect human health such as,  Norovirus, Influenza virus, Salmonella enterica and Campylobacter jejuni, but also it is efficacious against prevalent hospital and food-borne pathogens such as MRSA, VRE and RSV, Hepatitis A Virus and E. coli 0157:H7.

Easy to Prepare

Readily soluble in tap water, Rely+On™ Virkon™ dissolves into a yellow solution, which remains stable for up to 7 days, as a 1:100 solution.*

Contact Time: Allow surface to remain wet for 10 minutes.

MODE OF ACTION

Rely+On™ Virkon™ oxidizes key structures and compounds, such as proteins, leading to widespread, irreversible damage and subsequent deactivation/ destruction of the microorganism. Based on this mode of action, there is no evidence to suggest that bacterial disease-causing organisms develop resistance towards Rely+On™ Virkon™ as opposed to some other disinfectant types.

APPLICATIONS

For use in cleaning and disinfecting hard non-porous surfaces in institutional, commercial and public service facilities including hospitals and nursing homes, field medical units, medical and dental offices, clinics and other healthcare facilities, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) facilities, equipment and gear including respirators, laboratories, schools and daycare centers, food processing plants, equipment and warehouses, correctional facilities, and transportation terminals and vehicles including ships, trucks and trains.

CLEANING AND DISINFECTING HARD NON-POROUS FOOD CONTACT SURFACES

Rely+On™ Virkon™

  • Remove gross dirt and prepare a 1% solution according to the dilution table below.
  • Apply to surface using a sponge, brush or spray device until the surface is visibly clean
  • Let stand for 10 minutes and rinse with potable water.


CLEANING AND DISINFECTING HARD NON-POROUS NON-FOOD CONTACT SURFACES

Rely+On™ Virkon™

  • Remove gross dirt and prepare a 1% solution according to the table below.
  • Apply to surface using a mop, sponge, brush or spray device until the surface is visibly clean.
  • Let stand for 10 minutes and air dry.
  • In cases of fungal contamination of non-food contact surfaces, follow these instructions substituting a 2% Rely+On™ Virkon™ solution.

This product is not to be used on any surface or instrument that (1) is introduced directly into the human body, either into or in contact with the bloodstream or normally sterile areas of the body, or (2) contacts intact mucous membranes but which does not ordinarily penetrate the blood barrier or otherwise enter normally sterile areas of the body.
